Avometer

An avometer is an electric device which can be used for the measurement of
1.current in the circuit
2.potential difference between any two points
3.the resistance of any conductor
Although an avometer is basically used to measure direct current and voltages yet it can be used to measure A.C. voltages. But for this purpose A.C. voltage is first rectitied and then fed to the avometer as a D.C. voltage
