Union is strength

          There lived an old man in a village.He had three sons.They always quarreled with one another.Their father was very unhappy at the disunity of  his sons.The father had the realization that at this age he could die at any time.Before his death he wanted to make his sons united.He often advised them to solve their matters amicably,but this advise was of no avail.
           One day the old man called his sons.He asked them to bring a bundle of sticks.He offered them to break one by one.They tried but could not succeed in their effort.The old man kept watching their attempts.At last all of them accepted their defeat.The old man then separated the sticks from the bundle.He asked to break one piece of stick.All of them broke the sticks in no time.The old man then advised them that if they remain united like the bundle of sticks,no body would harm them.If they scattered,then they would be held by any one and would become the prey of circumstances.After giving them piece of advice,the old man died.The sons of old man took lesson of the advice of their father.They vowed not to quarrel again.Their unity brought success for all of them.
